Inaugural Noble Society class inducted
A century of generous giving in service to Indiana children was celebrated last week as the inaugural class of the Noble Society was inducted.
The Noble Society is a prestigious society that honors individuals and organizations who have made transformational investments in children’s health of $1 million or more to Riley Children’s Foundation. The Foundation hosted the Noble Society celebration Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024, at the Indiana Historical Society in downtown Indianapolis.
Riley Children’s Health also celebrated its first 100 years of caring for children last week. On Oct. 7, 1924, James Whitcomb Riley Memorial Hospital for Children opened its doors. The Noble Society is named after Riley Hospital’s first patient, 11-year-old Mark Noble from Decatur, who contracted polio at three years old.
