Meet incredible Riley families face-to-face and see exactly how your support fuels life-changing care through Experience Riley at Red for Our Kids presented by Republic Airways.

This past year, Katy Preidt and her husband Dustin Lower stood in front of guests in this immersive interaction, sharing their family’s journey. In 2023, their son Owen was born with a large tumor on his neck — bigger than his head — blocking his airway. The Fetal Center at Riley Children’s Health, the only program of its kind in Indiana, managed Owen’s arrival.

With stunning high-definition projections from Blockhouse Studios, Experience Riley brings to life Riley stories told directly by the families and caregivers who lived them.

Katy reflects on what sharing her family’s story in this way meant to her:

The smaller, more intimate setting made this experience really special. It felt personal and candid, and we were able to have meaningful conversations where attendees could ask questions. It was an incredible honor to share our story with donors who make the lifesaving work at Riley possible.

The most meaningful moments were when we had the chance to look donors in the eye and say thank you. Being able to personally express our gratitude was powerful. I loved being able to connect with them directly and show what their support has meant for our family. It was such a joy to highlight the impact donors’ generosity has had on Owen’s life.

My favorite part was showing photos of Owen today and sharing just how well he’s doing. This coming weekend, Owen will celebrate his second birthday and is absolutely obsessed with race cars, construction trucks, and anything with wheels. We’re also getting ready for his very first trip to Disney World!
