Named Current Use Fund

Minimum gift $25,000+

Current-use funds provide immediate, flexible resources to meet pressing needs, such as program support, professional development, equipment, research and innovative initiatives.

Gifts to a current-use fund are available right away and remain active as long as resources are available. Funds can support Riley Hospital, Camp Riley or the James Whitcomb Riley Museum Home.

Named Education, Research, or Program Endowment Fund

Minimum gift of $100,000+

Named endowment funds may be established to support many clinical programs, research areas, educational initiatives, or family support programs. Your gift is invested and held in perpetuity by Riley Children’s Foundation, with annual distributions directed toward the purpose you designate.

Endowments create a reliable stream of funding that enables long-term planning and sustained impact. This lasting support helps Riley deliver exceptional, family-centered pediatric care, research and innovation, that will save lives tomorrow.

Named Fellowship Endowment

Minimum gift of $250,000

Play a vital role in developing the next generation of physician-scientists at Riley. These endowed funds support multi-year training programs that combine hands-on clinical care with dedicated, protected time for research.

Fellows work closely with patients and families while advancing hypothesis-driven research that can shape their careers—and the future of pediatric medicine. These emerging specialists are equipped to make groundbreaking discoveries and deliver exceptional care for children around the world.

Named Early Career Research Scholar Endowment

Minimum Gift of $500,000

Provides dedicated support for an early-career faculty member enabling innovative research initiatives to take root, fostering advancements in medical discovery and patient care. Named scholar positions are highly competitive distinctions that strengthen Riley’s ability to recruit and retain top talent, enhancing our national reputation and elevating the level of care provided to children.

Named Professorship Endowment

Minimum gift of $750,000+

A named professorship is an endowed position that supports distinguished clinical leaders and/or physician-scientists at Riley. These individuals are at the forefront of advancing medical knowledge, improving patient outcomes, and mentoring future leaders in pediatric medicine. Named professorships enhance Riley’s ability to attract and retain top-tier talent, ensuring continued leadership in research, education, and patient care while elevating the institution’s national profile.

Named Chair or Medical Director Endowment

Minimum Gift of $1.5 million+

A named chair or medical directorship represents one of the highest honors in academic medicine. These endowments enable Riley to recruit and retain nationally recognized leaders in research, clinical care, and education.

Chair and director holders are distinguished for their expertise and contributions, bringing prestige and innovation to the institution. Endowment earnings provide critical, flexible support for research initiatives, scholarly work, and program leadership—allowing these leaders to dedicate significant time and resources to advancing medicine and training the next generation of pediatric specialists.
